The best luxurious place to stay in Aswan is the hotel Sofitel Legend Old Cataract at the edge of the Nubian Desert which is pretty expensive followed by Movenpick. Agatha Christie & many Royals have stayed at this most famous hotel in Egypt. This Dam was built to control the Nile River Flooding and took almost 11 years to construct. High Dam brought sustainable electricity projects across the country and made it prosper in many ways. On one side is Lake Nasser (filled with Crocodiles) and on the other, the Nile River is divided by the Dam. It serves as a good viewpoint.

Ideally, the Temple of Goddess Isis is one of the precious monuments in Upper Egypt for its symmetrical architecture and artistry. This temple was initially submerged in water due to Nile Flood and hence it was relocated from its original home of Philae Island to Agilika Island where it resides today. Goddess Isis is a key figure in Egypt as she is considered the mother of Horus and is the healer and protector of the Kings.

It’s the largest known ancient Obelisk and one-third larger than any other ancient Egyptian Obelisk ever erected. An obelisk is a monolithic stone monument carrying inscriptions on all four sides.

This Island is famed for its first Cataract, palaces, and temples. This island is ruined and peaceful and only a few minutes away from Aswan’s busy city. Since it's located in the middle and on the cataract – the views are just amazing from any part of the Island. Movenpick Hotels (Old & New) are located on this Island.

Aga Khan was considered to be one of the most important imams in Egypt and his tomb resides at this place. The interiors of this place are impeccable and the white marble tomb is its most important beauty. Usually, it isn’t opened for the public as they can view the beauty from outside. However, sometimes this can be made as an exception too.

It’s located on the Nile River near Aswan. To explore the life of the villagers, travel from Aswan by boat to the village and meanwhile learn about the villager’s life. One of the best things to view on the boat ride is the Dune Desert on 1 side of the river and the town on the other side.

Visit the decorated blue-washed Nubian houses with narrow lanes. One can opt for a camel ride to explore the beautiful village. Here, you can visit the old Nubian house and know about their living pattern. They would also serve you with their special Nubian Tea wherein you can enjoy the views sipping it.

Abu Simbel Temples are of utmost importance in Egyptian History. This breath-taking temple has been dedicated to the Egyptian Queen Nefertari (First Wife of the Great Ramses II) & Ramses II.
